Welcome to the Gulf Coast Student Chapter (GCSC) of the Society for Marine Mammalogy!
Research involving marine mammals in the Gulf of Mexico has increased substantially in the last few years. In response to this growth, the GCSC was resurrected to link marine mammal students throughout the entire Gulf Coast. We are a close knit group of peers and colleagues and we invite you to join us as we continue to forge professional relationships and foster new ideas in marine mammal science.
The GCSC is primarily run by graduate students based at the Marine Mammal Behavior and Cognition Lab at the University of Southern Mississippi under the sponsorship of Dr. Stan Kuczaj, however our chapter members hail from all five Gulf states.
