Welcome to website of the Northwest Student Chapter of the Society for Marine Mammalogy (NWSSMM). The NWSSMM serves the community of marine mammal graduate and undergraduate students in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia.

Our professional sponsors are Drs. Glenn VanBlaricom (University of Washington) and Andrew Trites (University of British Columbia).

The primary activity of the NWSSMM is an annual meeting that allows students in the Pacific Northwest to meet, interact, network, and discuss their research.

Our next annual meeting will be in Spring 2015 at Oregon State University - we're excited to welcome OSU as a hosting institution for the first time ever! Check back for details during winter 2015! See our events page for more info on annual meetings.

The last annual meeting of the NWSSMM was in May 2014 at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.
